August 12, 2024

On the 311th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", settlers organized their "annual march" on the eve of the so-called " Destruction of the Temple" anniversary, while hundreds of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa, and decisions to expel Jerusalemites from Al-Aqsa continued, as did raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem.

"Night" march and prayer at the Al-Buraq Wall

Settlers organized their "annual march" on the eve of the so-called " Destruction of the Temple" anniversary, and the march set off from the Ma'man Allah area in West Jerusalem and proceeded through Jaffa, Damascus, Herods, Lions, and Dung gates, arriving at the Al-Buraq Wall.

The settlers initially gathered in the "Ma'man Allah" area, and speeches were given regarding the so-called "destruction" anniversary, then the march set off and Israeli flags were raised during it and slogans calling for the construction of the Temple, and prayers were held at the Al-Buraq Wall.

The occupation authorities closed the streets in Jerusalem throughout the march's passage, and set up iron barriers and deployed their forces in all streets and roads.

In the Old City of Jerusalem, especially the Al-Wad Road leading to the Al-Buraq Wall, and at the gates of Al-Aqsa from the outside, the settlers performed prayers, and they deliberately directed insults and obscene phrases while walking in the streets of the city.

During the afternoon hours, the settlers performed their prayers at the gates of Al-Aqsa from the outside.

Al-Aqsa Mosque

411 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, and prayed in Al-Aqsa under police protection.

Deportation from Al-Aqsa and travel ban

The occupation authorities handed Shadi Mtour - Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Jerusalem - a decision banning him from entering the West Bank for a period of 6 months.

They also handed the released prisoner Khadija Khweis a decision banning her from traveling until 18/9/2024, with the possibility of extending it for a period of 4 months.

They also handed the released prisoner Ramzi Al-Abbasi a decision banning him from entering Al-Aqsa for a period of 4 months, and Omar Al-Firawi for a period of 3 months.

Demolition in Issawiya

The occupation municipality forced the Fanoun family to self-demolish their home in Issawiya under the pretext of building without a permit.

The Fanoun family explained that the house was under construction, and the municipality issued a demolition order, and in order to avoid paying fines (demolition fees for bulldozers, crews and forces), they carried out the self-demolition process.

The family explained that the area of the house is about 100 square meters.

Raids and arrests

The raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued, and at dawn the forces raided the village of Issawiya and distributed "threatening leaflets" to families, under the pretext of the breakout of clashes in the village and the escalation of incitement on social media.

The forces also raided the Shu’fat refugee camp.

On the other hand, the forces arrested the young man Hamed Obeid, after stopping him at “checkpoint 300”, south of Jerusalem.

The young man Mansour Mahmoud turned himself in to the "Salah al-Din Street" police station after being summoned for investigation.
