Day 315 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
August 16, 2024

On the 315th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa to perform Friday prayers, while settlers attacked the Basbous family in the town of Silwan, and the raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued.

Al-Aqsa…Restrictions on entering Al-Aqsa

The occupation forces imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa to perform Friday prayers, by setting up checkpoints and placing iron barriers on the roads leading to the mosque, and stopping those coming to it, especially young men and boys, and preventing dozens of them from entering.

The forces also removed young men from the vicinity of Al-Aqsa and forced them to leave the Old City.

Those expelled from Al-Aqsa and those banned from entering Al-Aqsa performed the prayer at the nearest place they could reach.

Settler attacks

The settlers attacked the Basbous family in the Batn Al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan, and pointed their weapons at the family members and deliberately beat and assaulted Khalil Basbous.

The forces also stationed themselves at the door of the Basbous family's house from Thursday afternoon until Friday dawn, and deliberately obstructed the entry and exit of the residents of the house.

The Basbous family home is located near the Shehadeh family building that was seized yesterday under the pretext of "ownership of the land on which it was built by the Jews of Yemen since 1881."

Closing a commercial facility

The police said in a statement that they had closed a commercial facility in Jerusalem for 30 days because its owner employed a woman "with a West Bank ID."
