August 21, 2024

On the 320th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation forces carried out a demolition operation in Shu’fat refugee camp, and the settlers continued their raids on Al-Aqsa and performed group prayers inside it, and the raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued.

Shu’fat refugee camp

The forces, accompanied by municipal vehicles, stormed the "Dahiyet Al-Salam” area in Shu’fat refugee camp, and carried out a demolition operation of a concrete floor "building foundations" in the area, and the forces fired bombs intensively during the demolition operation to prevent approaching the site.

Al-Aqsa Mosque.. Public Prayers

196 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa courtyards during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, through the Dung Gate under the protection of the occupation forces.

What is striking during the raids on Al-Aqsa, are the daily, public and collective prayers inside Al-Aqsa for several days, especially in the eastern area of Al-Aqsa, and the settlers published pictures and video clips in the past hours documenting their prayers in Al-Aqsa, and their joy that "prayer has become a normal and daily matter, and prayer inside it has become daily and without arrest."

The settlers called for continuing to storm Al-Aqsa and pray in it since "there is no obstacle to that" as they published on their various platforms.

The Endowment Council issued a statement on the 55th anniversary of the burning of the Al-Qibli prayer hall by extremist Michael Rohan.

The statement said: "The chapters of this heinous crime and arson continue to this day in forms and dimensions that are no less dangerous in undermining the message and identity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and with the direct involvement of those with the same extremist mentality calling for destruction, arson and demolition through successive series of daily incursions by extremist Jewish groups, which continue to invent a series of provocative trends for the feelings of Muslims by holding public prayers and Talmudic rituals, chants and dances inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and no less dangerous are those excavations and suspicious Judaization projects in its vicinity and under its walls, with clear support and endorsement from the hateful extremist system and its sponsors."

In the evening hours, loud music and singing by settlers present in Al-Buraq Square - the western wall of Al-Aqsa - were heard, which led to disruption of worshipers during the Maghreb prayer, and residents of Silwan and the Old City complained about the loudness of the music. In the afternoon, settlers also organized a celebration in Wadi Al-Rababeh lands in Silwan, which led to traffic jams in the town.

Raiding neighborhoods

The forces also continued to raid neighborhoods and towns in the city of Jerusalem.
