Day 325 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 325th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the Minister of Internal Security in the occupation government called for the construction of a synagogue in Al-Aqsa, while settlers continued to storm Al-Aqsa and pray inside it, and municipal crews stormed towns in the city.
Ben Gavir's statements and Al-Aqsa raids
The Internal Security Minister, Itamar Ben Gavir, told Army Radio that he "intends to build a Jewish synagogue in Al-Aqsa."
Ben Gavir added: "The policy followed allows us to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque, the laws are equal for both parties, Jews and Muslims, there are no restrictions on Jewish prayer."
Minister Ben Gavir, since assuming his position in the government "early 2023", has stormed Al-Aqsa 6 times, including 3 times during the war, and the last of the raids was in mid-August, where he stormed Al-Aqsa on the anniversary of the so-called "destruction of the temple" and performed public prayers inside it with the settlers.
Every time the extremist minister Ben Gavir storms Al-Aqsa, he emphasizes "imposing Israeli sovereignty on the mosque."
Ben Gavir's statements are in line with the field situation in Al-Aqsa; For about two weeks, collective and public prayers have been held in Al-Aqsa, especially in the eastern part of the mosque, and the “prostration” has become a daily scene in Al-Aqsa, especially in its eastern part, and senior rabbis have begun to lead prayers in Al-Aqsa.
Former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin said during his storming of Al-Aqsa yesterday, Sunday, "For the first time in 30 years, I am performing a full prayer in Al-Aqsa, and I consider this a "major change" in the way settlers storm Al-Aqsa, confirming "Israeli sovereignty" over Al-Aqsa. Rabbi (Yosef Elbaum), one of the rabbis of the so-called "Temple Mount Religious School", joined him in the prayer.
226 extremists carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa, during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, and performed prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.
It is noteworthy that the storming of Al-Aqsa is carried out daily during the "morning and afternoon” incursion periods, with the exception of Fridays and Saturdays, holidays and religious occasions. The storming is carried out through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.
The Islamic authorities in Jerusalem rejected in a statement "the deviant actions and blatant statements issued by the Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben Gavir, against Al-Aqsa Mosque, the last of which was his ominous call today, to build a Jewish synagogue inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
The Islamic organizations considered this escalation an unprecedented incitement in the context of a plan by a politically and religiously extremist Jewish movement towards occupying and Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of the three holiest places for Muslims.
The Islamic authorities in Jerusalem held the international community, especially the official Islamic nation, responsible for the recent violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque due to the negligence and failure of the Islamic world countries to perform their religious duty to rescue and save the first of the two “Qiblahs” and the Isra' and Mi'raj of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, from the escalating acts of desecration and Judaization by the occupation government that protects the extremist Jewish fanatics who do not respect the sanctity or holiness of Al-Aqsa Mosque and attack the feelings of two billion Muslims around the world. They called on the peoples of the Islamic world to rally around Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Islamic authorities and authorities in Jerusalem called on every Muslim, Christian, and free, honorable person in the world to do their duty from their position and according to their ability to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque so that it remains a mosque exclusively for Muslims alone, with an area of 144 dunoms above and below ground.
Raids
Joint crews from the municipality and the forces raided Umm Tuba, Issawiya, and Silwan in Jerusalem, and distributed and posted demolition notices and warnings and summonses to follow up with the municipality.
The forces also continued to storm towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, and set up checkpoints in the city's streets. After midnight, the forces stormed the Shu’fat refugee camp, arrested a young man, and carried out raids on several homes, firing grenades and rubber bullets.
