Day 326 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 326th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", hundreds of Palestinians bid farewell to the body of martyr Khalil Salem Shehadeh, while the occupation government decided to organize "guided tours" of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the occupation municipality's bulldozers carried out two demolition operations in the town of Silwan, and the storming of towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued.
A Jerusalemite Martyr
Hundreds of Palestinians bid farewell to the body of the Jerusalemite martyr Khalil Salem, 41, to his final resting place in the cemetery of the village of Wadi Rahhal, south of Bethlehem.
The martyr Shehadeh, who is from the village of Beit Safafa, was shot by settlers while he was in the village of Wadi Rahhal, and the settlers prevented the ambulance from reaching the martyr "after he was injured" or transporting him outside the village for treatment, and he continued to bleed for a while until he was transferred to the Beit Jala Governmental Hospital and his martyrdom was announced.
Al-Aqsa... Government funding to carry out the raids
The Ministry of Heritage in the occupation government announced for the first time a program of "guided tours of Al-Aqsa Mosque", and the ministry said "it will allow for the first time thousands of Jews and hundreds of thousands of tourists who storm Al-Aqsa every year to see the Jewish heritage of the mountain" according to their claim.
According to the plan, two million shekels will be allocated to finance the settler incursions into Al-Aqsa.
The Ministry of Heritage seeks to start the incursions program in the coming weeks, in preparation for the Jewish holidays.
Israeli media revealed that the Director General of the Ministry of Heritage, Iti Gernik, approached the Director General of Ben Gavir's office to obtain police approval to organize the incursions into Al-Aqsa, while the Deputy Commander of the Jerusalem District confirmed that the police approved organizing the incursions funded by the government, within and during the usual incursion periods.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Heritage, Amihai Eliyahu, is from the "Otzma Yehudit" party, and accompanies Minister Itamar Ben Gavir in most of his incursions into Al-Aqsa.
Settlers' Prayer in Al-Aqsa... Collective "Prostration" in Al-Aqsa
171 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon incursion periods through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.
Settlers performed prayers in Al-Aqsa, and during the last two weeks, settlers have been performing the full daily prayer in Al-Aqsa "either individually, collectively, or led by senior rabbis" under police guard.
It is noteworthy that settlers' prayers in Al-Aqsa and their prostration on its land are concentrated in the eastern area of Al-Aqsa, and during the two periods of incursions, any person, whether "an employee of the Islamic Endowment or a worshiper", is prevented from reaching or being present in the area, and whoever is present is subject to arrest and expulsion.
Demolition and displacement
The occupation municipality demolished two houses in the Al-Bustan and Al-Thori neighborhoods in the town of Silwan.
The forces, accompanied by the municipality's crews and bulldozers, stormed the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the morning and carried out a demolition operation for the Odeh family. After completing the demolition and surrounding the place, they headed to the Alayan house in the Al-Thori neighborhood and carried out the demolition operation.
Younes Odeh's house in Al-Bustan has been standing since 2016, and 10 people live in it.
The municipality handed him the final demolition order at the beginning of this month.
The occupation municipality issued demolition orders for the entire Al-Bustan neighborhood in 2010, to build "King David's Garden" on the ruins of the neighborhood. The plan and demolition orders were frozen after residents refused and international pressure. Over the past years, residents have tried to license buildings and plan the neighborhood to preserve their homes and land ownership. In 2021, the municipality rejected the engineering plans for the Al-Bustan neighborhood, and during the recent period, the municipality carried out demolitions within the neighborhood.
The Al-Bustan neighborhood includes 116 homes, housing about 1,550 people, and many of the homes were built before the occupation of Jerusalem.
As for the home of Mohammad Alayan, the municipality's bulldozers completed its demolition, noting that he had implemented the decision manually to avoid paying fines and demolition fees, but he was surprised today by the raid on the place, and the demolition of what remained of the building "poles and some doors".
The area of the house is about 200 square meters, and 4 people live in it, and his wife is pregnant.
Continuous raids
The forces raided neighborhoods and towns in the city of Jerusalem, and arrested a young man from the village of Issawiya.
In the evening hours, the forces arrested a number of Palestinians on the pretext of entering Jerusalem illegally, because they hold West Bank IDs.
