Day 352 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 352nd day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and municipal crews carried out a campaign of raids on shops in the Shu’fat refugee camp, and the raids, violations and attacks continued in the city of Jerusalem.
Al-Aqsa raids
209 settlers carried out their raids into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, under the protection of the occupation forces.
The settlers performed their prayers in Al-Aqsa, danced and prostrated on the ground.
Among the intruders was MK Moshe Feiglin, who stormed Al-Aqsa during the morning period, prayed inside Al-Aqsa, and gave a speech during the raid in which he said: "We pray here for the Jews and the return of the prisoners to their homes with the strength of the army. The war is moving to another stage and we will be completely victorious. The strategy for victory must be a broad and comprehensive strategy that includes Gaza, Lebanon, and this holy place; referring to Al-Aqsa Mosque as the most important place for the Jews... We will fight in Lebanon and Lebanon is one of our holy places." He stated that he is in Al-Aqsa which is the focus of the ongoing war.
As every day, the police stationed at the gates of the mosque continue to deliberately stop those coming to Al-Aqsa, and randomly prevent many of them from entering it, especially during the morning and afternoon raids.
Meanwhile, the police handed the Jerusalemite Alaa Al-Sous a decision to ban her from entering Al-Aqsa for a week, with the possibility of renewal for several months.
Governor of Jerusalem…An ongoing pursuit
The occupation authorities renewed the decision to "prevent entry to the West Bank" for the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, for a period of 4 months, by decision of the "Commander of the Central Region".
The Intelligence Service summoned Ghaith to the Al-Maskobyeh Police Station.
The Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, has been under house arrest in his home in the town of Silwan since August 2022, after the Israeli prosecution submitted an indictment that included "violating the decision to prevent him from entering the West Bank".
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that since the Governor of Jerusalem assumed his position in 2018, several restrictions have been imposed on him and are renewed immediately upon their expiration, the most prominent of which are "house arrest in his place of residence in Silwan, travel ban, ban on entering the West Bank, and ban on participating in any event in Jerusalem".
A large-scale raid on Shu’fat refugee camp
The municipality crews from the "Inspection and Building department” along with tax authority crews raided Shu’fat refugee camp, and carried out a large-scale raid on commercial stores, imposed various fines on merchants, and demanded that some of them follow up with the relevant departments, while they examined papers, files and goods.
The municipality crews also posted demolition notices and summonses to follow up with the municipality under the pretext of "building without a permit".
The forces closed the checkpoint at the entrance to the camp several times, and followed a "thorough inspection" of vehicles and pedestrians, which caused traffic jams at the checkpoint and inside the camp.
Raiding the home of two prisoners
The occupation authorities, accompanied by crews from the municipal institutions, raided the home of the family of prisoners Saeed and Ahmed Rukon, and checked the payment of "arnona, water, electricity", and after confirming the commitment to payment, one of them said "We don't go out for nothing", and imposed a fine on the family under the pretext of "sewage extensions and a water pipe", and the forces searched the surroundings and roof of the house in an attempt to impose other "violations on the family".
The forces also continued to storm neighborhoods and towns in Jerusalem, and set up checkpoints in the city streets, and in the evening hours the forces severely beat a young man in the Damascus Gate area.
