Day 353 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
September 23, 2024

On the 353rd day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", a campaign of raids and confiscation of goods was carried out in Shu’fat refugee camp and Anata Town, while settlers continued their raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Jerusalemite Atta Al-Sahouri removed his house, which is a "mobile container/caravan", from his land in Jabal Al-Mukabber by decision of the occupation municipality.

Shu’fat refugee camp and Anata Town... "A campaign of repeated attacks"

The occupation authorities, with their various institutions, from the municipality and "Execution of Collection", the Ministry of Energy, and the National Insurance Institute, carried out a large-scale raid campaign on dozens of shops and warehouses in the town of Anata and Shu’fat refugee camp.

Eyewitnesses from Shu’fat refugee camp and Anata explained that the occupation authorities raided the shops, examined their documents and licenses, and conducted extensive searches of the goods in the shops.

Eyewitnesses explained that the occupation authorities confiscated many goods from the shops, especially "cigarettes" and “egg cartons”, under the pretext of bringing them from the Palestinian Authority areas.

The occupation authorities imposed various violations and fines on the owners of the shops.

The forces also destroyed the egg cartons in the garbage containers.

The forces also set up police checkpoints in the streets of the camp.

The forces arrested, as eyewitnesses explained, a woman and two young men from the camp and Anata.

Al-Aqsa Mosque

167 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.

The settlers performed their public and collective prayers in Al-Aqsa, under the protection of the police who accompanied them during the prayer and walking in Al-Aqsa.

After demolishing the building... "Preventing living in a mobile home"

The occupation municipality forced the citizen Atta Al-Sahouri to remove his mobile home "container/caravan" from his land in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, by a decision from the municipality under the pretext that it was placed without a permit.

Al-Sahouri explained that the municipality summoned him more than 5 times during the last month after placing the "caravan" on his land, and issued "demolition/removal" orders on the "caravan" several times, the last of which was this morning, and in the event of non-implementation, its crews will do so.

Al-Sahouri explained that the municipality asked him to close his land completely, put a gate on it, and not use it.

Al-Sahouri pointed out that the municipality forced him last June to self-demolish his residential building, which was built on the land, under the pretext of building without a license. The building consisted of 3 floors (6 residential apartments) in which about 50 people lived, and the municipality forced him to remove the rubble of the building.

The forces also continued to raid towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, and set up checkpoints in the city streets.
