Day 399 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 399th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, a young man was shot by the occupation forces in Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem, and restrictions were imposed on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa to perform Friday prayers, while Friday prayers were held inside the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan.
Shooting in Shu’fat refugee camp
A Palestinian was shot by the occupation forces during the storming of Shu’fat refugee camp in the city of Jerusalem.
The residents explained that the forces stormed Shu’fat refugee camp at dawn, and spread out in its neighborhoods, alleys and main streets, and during that they opened heavy fire at a vehicle, and the police claimed in a statement that "the driver continued driving at high speed despite being asked to stop."
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem noted that the "shooting incident" was repeated in the area within hours, as the forces opened fire at dawn on Thursday at a vehicle, which resulted in the driver being injured.
Restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa
The occupation forces prevented hundreds of worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa to perform the dawn and Friday prayers.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that the forces stationed at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa, stopped those coming to Al-Aqsa and prevented entry "randomly", especially for boys and young men, in a procedure followed by the occupation authorities on Fridays during the “Dawn and Noon” prayers in particular.
The forces also assaulted the young men by pushing and beating them with sticks, to prevent them from praying "at the nearest point they could reach".
Prayer in Silwan
The residents of Silwan performed prayers inside the Al-Bustan neighborhood, in rejection of the demolition operation in the neighborhood last Tuesday, where 7 homes were demolished.
The demolition threatens the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, to establish what is called the "King's Garden" on its ruins.
In the early morning hours, the forces arrested the Jerusalemite activist Fakhri Abu Diab, and released him several hours later on condition of not participating in any activity held in the Al-Bustan neighborhood on Friday.
