Day 404 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 404th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, the occupation bulldozers carried out a demolition operation in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan in Jerusalem, and the settlers' raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque continued.
Demolition of the Silwan Tent and the Al-Bustan Association
The occupation municipality crews, accompanied by the Israeli occupation forces, stormed the Al-Bustan and Bi’er Ayoub neighborhoods in Silwan, and surrounded the entire area, and closed the roads leading to them.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the forces surrounded the Silwan sit-in tent, and then the municipality's bulldozers began to demolish it, in addition to demolishing the Al-Bustan Cultural Center and a residential apartment.
The residents of Silwan put up the sit-in tent in 2009 on the roof of a building in the town, after the occupation authorities decided to demolish the entire neighborhood and displace its residents to build the "King's Garden". Over the past years, the tent has witnessed activities against the demolitions, most notably Friday prayers, conferences, and visits by official delegations.
Al-Bustan Association was established in 2004, and cares for young people and children, through its various programs and activities.
The occupation municipality continues its threat to demolish Al-Bustan neighborhood, and distributes notices and demolition decisions on a weekly basis to residents, after rejecting licensing plans.
Continuous raids on Al-Aqsa
199 settlers carried out their raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, which the occupation authorities have controlled since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967, and performed prayers in it.
