On the 419th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, the occupation municipality forced a Jerusalemite family to self-demolish their home in Silwan, and settlers continued to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, and arrests continued in the city of Jerusalem.
Demolition in Silwan
The Odeh family self-demolished their home in the Al-Farouk neighborhood in the town of Silwan, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Khalaf Mohammad Odeh, the owner of the house, explained that he has been living in his house for 24 years, after expanding the original building that existed before the occupation "since the Jordanian era" by an area of 70 meters.
Odeh said: "I added a building to the old house, and lived in it with my family, but the municipality demanded a building permit, then issued demolition orders and building violations.
Odeh said that the municipality imposed building violations on him worth 100 thousand shekels, and he will continue to pay installments even after he carries out the demolition.
He said that he was forced to carry out the demolition process himself, to avoid a demolition process carried out by the municipality and impose new financial fines on him "demolition fees", and to avoid destroying the surroundings of the house "the land and old trees".
Al-Aqsa raids
170 settlers carried out their raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces.
The settlers performed their prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.
Arrests and releases
The police arrested 3 children aged 8-11 from the village of Issawiya in Jerusalem, and transferred them for investigation to the Salah al-Din Street police station in the city, as eyewitnesses explained.
The prison administration released 3 prisoners: Sundos Obeid after serving a year on charges of "incitement via social media", Fouad Jibreel after completing his 13-month sentence, and Naseem Hamada after completing his 7-month administrative detention.
Raids
Raids continued in towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, and in the morning hours, forces accompanied by municipal crews stormed the village of Issawiya.
In the evening hours, forces stormed the neighborhoods of the town of Silwan suddenly, stationed themselves there and set up police checkpoints.
