Day 434 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 434th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, the occupation forces imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa to perform the dawn and Friday prayers, and revealed the leakage of a plot of land in the town of Silwan, and the raids and arrests continued.
Al-Aqsa...Restrictions and attacks
The occupation authorities deployed their forces at the gates of Al-Aqsa and the gates of the Old City, and placed barriers and iron barriers on them, and stopped those coming to Al-Aqsa and prevented hundreds of them from entering, especially young men and boys.
The forces assaulted the young men by beating and pushing them, and arrested one of them after severely beating him.
Since October 2023, the occupation authorities have imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa; at the beginning of the first months of the war, a comprehensive siege was imposed on Al-Aqsa by preventing entry to it with the exception of some elderly people, and during Ramadan, restrictions were eased on the people of Jerusalem and the Palestinian interior, and immediately after the end of Ramadan, restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa returned every Friday.
The young men who were prevented from entering Al-Aqsa performed prayers on the thresholds of the Old City and in its alleys.
The number of worshipers in Al-Aqsa was estimated at 50 thousand worshipers.
The forces deployed their elements in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa during the prayer. At dawn prayer, the forces prevented young men from entering Al-Aqsa and forcibly removed them from the Lions Gate and Hutta Gate areas.
Leaking a plot of land in Silwan
Last Sunday, 8/12/2024, settlers stormed a plot of land in the Wadi Yasoul neighborhood in Silwan, and carried out bulldozing work on it, and placed metal fence panels around it in addition to a mobile home (caravan) inside it.
“The land and its transfer of ownership up to its leakage” The following statement was issued today and a copy of it was received by the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem:
"A statement from the Adila Ayyash family council in Jerusalem regarding the leakage of land in the Wadi Yasoul area. We strongly condemn the illegal and immoral leakage process, and we consider whoever carried it out as an outsider and a traitor to the trust, stressing that the entire land of Palestine is an Islamic endowment that may only be disposed of by Muslims.
The Adila Ayyash family has no connection to this leakage, and the ownership of this land was relinquished to our relative Hajj Yousef Al-Abbasi (Abu Habsa) in 2002, who is known for his high patriotism and good conduct, and he is authorized to dispose of it. He later sold it to Mr. Azzam Ghaith in 2007 for the sum of 65,000 Jordanian dinars, who in turn sold it to a third party who carried out the leakage.
Based on what was mentioned, we demand that Mr. Azzam Ghaith disclose the party that leaked the ownership of this piece."
Raids
The forces continued to storm towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, and set up checkpoints.
