Day 443 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 443rd day of "Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, the occupation bulldozers demolished two apartments belonging to the Salah family in the village of Beit Safafa, and the settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque and continued preparations to storm the mosque on the holiday of lights "Hanukkah", and the raids on towns and neighborhoods and arrests in Jerusalem continued.
Demolition and displacement
The occupation municipality bulldozers demolished today two apartments belonging to the Salah family in the village of Beit Safafa, in order to pave a road in the place.
Mohammed Salah said that the bulldozers demolished his house, which houses 11 people, and his son's house, which houses 4 people.
He said that the Salah family has been living in the area since 1979, and the family lived for many years to preserve their land and homes and stood in the way of the plans until the homes were demolished today.
The occupation authorities are planning to implement a settlement project in the Tabalia area in the village of Beit Safafa and pave roads to connect the settlements, and establish settlement units, a kindergarten and a synagogue.
Salah said that the case is still in the courts, as the municipality demolished the houses and wants to confiscate the land and open a street in the place, without caring about the residents.
Al-Aqsa: Continuous raids
196 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the two incursion periods, under the protection of the occupation forces.
The settlers continued their preparations to carry out raids on Al-Aqsa during the week of the Festival of Lights/Hanukkah, which begins next Thursday.
Raids and arrests
The forces continued their raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, and set up checkpoints in the streets of the city.
In Issawiya, the forces arrested 4 children from the village, and Siraj Abu Arafa, a lawyer for the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, said that the forces arrested the children and transferred them for investigation to the "Salah al-Din Street" police station.
The forces stormed the town of Silwan, and arrested the young man Wissam Da'na.
Mass arrests
The police said in a statement that they arrested 292 Palestinians holding West Bank IDs on charges of "entering Jerusalem illegally" and 36 Jerusalemites who provided them with assistance.
In another statement, they said that they arrested a young woman from the Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem, on charges of incitement.
She is the daughter of the martyr Barakat Odeh, who was killed in 2022 after carrying out a car-ramming attack.
