Day 447: Jerusalem during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation
On the 447th day of Al-Aqsa Flood operation, the Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben Gvir stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the forces’ raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued, as well as the arrests of young men and boys from the city.
Al-Aqsa Mosque
400 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on the first day of the Jewish "Festival of Lights/Hanukkah", during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, through the Dung Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of the city of Jerusalem in 1967.
Among those who stormed Al-Aqsa was the Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben Gvir, rabbis, students of religious institutes, and activists from "Temple groups and organizations."
The settlers performed their prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The extremist minister Ben Gvir said during the storming that he came to this holy place to bless the holiday of Hanukkah, and "to pray for the return of all Israelis and to pray for victory in the war," as he said.
During Ben Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa, forces were deployed inside the mosque and at the gates, and prevented entry to it.
After leaving Al-Aqsa, Ben Gvir walked through the streets of the Old City through Al-Wad Street and exited from Damascus Gate, and large numbers of forces were deployed in the area.
The two deportees from Al-Aqsa, Nitham Abu Rammouz and Mrs. Nafisa Khweis, were stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque from dawn until the afternoon hours.
In the evening hours, settlers organized a march in the Jaffa Gate and New Gate areas "outside the walls of tye Old City", and raised Israeli flags and chanted against Islamic endowments, Arabs and Muslims.
Raids
Large numbers of forces stormed the Shu’fat refugee camp, and deployed in its alleys and neighborhoods, and threw stun grenades and rubber bullets.
Eyewitnesses said that the forces fired live ammunition in the streets of the camp.
The forces also stopped young men and boys and assaulted them by beating and pushing them, and subjected them to body searches, and stopped vehicles while they were driving in the streets of the camp.
The forces continued to storm the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, set up checkpoints in the streets, and carry out arrests and summonses of young men and boys from Jerusalem and from the gates of Al-Aqsa.
