Demolition decisions…and demolition continues during Ramadan
On Sunday, joint crews from the occupation municipality posted demolition decisions and summonses to follow up with the municipality on homes in the town of Silwan, in the city of Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the young man Osama Jubran carried out the demolition of his home in the village of Sur Baher with his own hands, by decision of the municipality.
The Jubran family explained that their home has been standing for 30 years, and 7 people live in it.
In the Wadi Yasoul neighborhood, the young man Mahran Abu Rajab self-demolished his home.
Abu Rajab explained that his home has been standing since 2019, and he lives in it with his wife and 3 children.
He added that the municipality imposed a fine on the family for "building without a permit" in the amount of 80 thousand shekels.
During the month of Ramadan, demolition operations were carried out in Silwan, Beit Hanina, and Issawiya, noting that in the past years, demolition operations stopped during the month of Ramadan.
