Expelling Al-Aqsa preacher from Al-Aqsa Mosque…Arresting a journalist and citizens in Issawiya
On Friday, the occupation authorities expelled the imam and preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Mohammad Salim Mohammad Ali, from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week, with the possibility of renewing the decision.
The occupation forces detained Sheikh Mohammad Salim immediately upon his exit from Al-Aqsa Mosque, after delivering the sermon and performing the prayer, and demanded that he immediately report to the Al-Qishla Police Station in the Old City of Jerusalem.
The occupation authorities handed Sheikh Mohammad Salim a decision banning him from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week and demanded that he report again to the interrogation center for the possibility of extending the ban.
During his sermon, Sheikh Mohammad Salim urged patience and spoke about the patience of the people of Gaza in light of the current circumstances.
The occupation forces also arrested Jerusalemite journalist Nadine Ja’far while she was on her way to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Siraj Abu Arafa, a lawyer for the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem, said that the forces arrested journalist Ja’far, detained her, and then took her to the Al-Qishla police station, where her detention was extended until Sunday. After an appeal was filed against the detention order, it was decided to release her on the condition that she be expelled from Al-Aqsa Mosque until May 5th and sign a financial guarantee.

The forces also deployed throughout the village's streets and neighborhoods, assaulting residents.
Jerusalem activist Mohammad Abu al-Hummus sustained bruises as a result of the assault while documenting the raid on Issawiya.
