Occupation authorities summon 15 lawyers for investigation
On Sunday, the Israeli intelligence service summoned 15 Jerusalem lawyers for investigation at the "Rooms 4" police station in West Jerusalem.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem stated that a joint force of Israeli intelligence and police raided the headquarters of the Bar Association Complex in the town of Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem, on Saturday, during the Palestinian Bar Association elections.
The center stated that the forces surrounded the building, then stormed it, confiscated the ID cards of all those present, and recorded their names and ID numbers before summoning them for investigation at the Al-Maskobyeh police station.
Following the raid, the Central Elections Committee of the Palestinian Bar Association announced the closure of the polling center designated for the city of Jerusalem, located in the Professional Associations Complex in Beit Hanina, noting that "compelling field circumstances beyond the committee's control prevented the continuation of the electoral process at this center."
The committee called on lawyers who were unable to cast their votes at the Jerusalem polling station to go to the Ramallah polling station or any of the other approved polling stations in the northern governorates to complete their voting rights.
On Sunday morning, 15 Jerusalem lawyers went to the police station, where they were interrogated about their participation in the electoral process.
