Silwan - The occupation forces demolish two apartments belonging to the Burqan family, displacing 11 members
Israeli municipality bulldozers demolished two apartments in the Wad Qaddoum neighborhood of Silwan on Wednesday.
Joint crews from the municipality and police forces stormed the neighborhood in the early morning, closed off several streets, and deployed throughout the area. They then raided the apartments of the Burqan family (Falah and his son Jihad), forcibly evicting the residents and preventing access to the site before bulldozers began the demolition process.
The family explained that the building had been in existence for more than 23 years, with each apartment measuring approximately 90 square meters and housing 11 people. The family was also fined more than 150,000 shekels.
