Settlers assault a child in the Old City of Jerusalem
August 31, 2025

Two settlers assaulted 14-year-old Mohammed Hamoudeh on Sunday evening while he was in front of his home in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem reported, citing the family, that the child was riding his bicycle when the two settlers pursued him. One of them shouted in his ear and attempted to assault him. The child left the area after a young man intervened and headed home.

In a related development, Israeli occupation forces raided the child's home and took him outside. They conducted a field investigation with him, took down the ID numbers of his father and uncle, and verified his photo through surveillance cameras. They then allowed him to return home, with the possibility of summoning him for interrogation later.
