September 8, 2025

On Monday morning, Muthanna Naji Amro (20 years old) from the village of Al-Qubaiba, and Mohammad Bassam Taha (21 years old) from the village of Qatanna, carried out a double shooting attack on the street of the Ramot settlement, built on land of Shu’fat and Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem.

The attack resulted in the deaths of seven settlers and the wounding of approximately 30 others with varying degrees of severity. The two young men were killed by gunfire from a guard and an armed settler, according to Israeli media.

Sources reported that the shooting targeted a bus and a bus stop at the scene.

Following the attack, occupation forces completely sealed off the area for more than three hours and held the bodies of the two martyrs on the ground. They searched them, photographed them, and stripped them of their clothes. They then transferred them to an unknown location. The forces also conducted extensive searches in the vicinity of the attack site, provided first aid to the injured, and transported the dead and wounded.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and the Jerusalem police commander headed to the site of the attack. Meanwhile, Israeli forces closed all checkpoints leading into the city.

Hours later, large Israeli forces stormed the villages of al-Qubaiba and Qatanna, northwest of Jerusalem, the hometowns of the two martyrs. They deployed in the streets and at the entrances, raided their families' homes, and arrested, summoned, and detained dozens of young men.
