A campaign against Palestinians holding West Bank ID cards: The occupation forces arrested 202 Palestinians from Jerusalem in one week
The occupation forces continued their arrest campaigns of Palestinians holding West Bank ID cards, on the pretext of illegally entering and residing in Jerusalem.
The police said in a statement that they arrested 21 Palestinians who entered Jerusalem illegally, and also arrested the bus driver suspected of transporting them.
The police added that this week they arrested 202 Palestinians from Jerusalem and 23 others suspected of transporting or employing them.
Separately, police deployed at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque detained dozens of young men and boys, preventing many of them from entering, detaining some and interrogating them on the spot, and serving others with summonses for investigation.
The forces arrested Raed Murrar from the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and released him on condition that he be banned from entering Al-Aqsa for a week. He is to return immediately after the expiration of the period, as the ban may be renewed for several months.
Yesterday, the forces handed Mufid Mohammad Abbasi a one-week ban from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the possibility of renewing the ban for several months.
The forces continued raiding homes in Jerusalem and delivering summonses to the Al-Qishla Police Station for young men, boys, and women, to issue them ban orders from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.
