Jerusalem: A young man was martyred and another injured while trying to cross the wall
On Monday morning, Sanad Najeh Hantouli, 25, from Jenin, was martyred, while another young man was injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire that evening. The two men were allegedly attempting to enter Jerusalem "illegally" through the Apartheid Wall.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem reported that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on Hantouli in the morning hours in the Al-Dahiya area near Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem, killing him instantly.
In the evening, forces opened fire on another young man on Jerusalem-Airport Street (a few meters from the Qalandia checkpoint), wounding him in the thigh.
With Hantouli's death, the number of Palestinian workers executed by Israeli occupation forces since the beginning of 2025 while attempting to enter Jerusalem through the Separation Wall or while working in the city has risen to four:
• March 12: Raafat Hammad, from the town of Silwad, was killed after falling from a height in a Jerusalem workshop during an Israeli occupation forces raid.
• March 15: Maher Sarsour from Salfit was killed as forces pursued Palestinians near the separation wall in the town of al-Ram.
• May 27: Arafat Quddous from the town of Burin was killed after falling from the separation wall in al-Ram.
• September 15: Sand Hantouli from Jenin was killed by Israeli occupation forces north of Jerusalem.
The occupation authorities continue to persecute Palestinians and prevent them from entering Jerusalem by imposing severe restrictions on workers, exacerbating their daily suffering and threatening their lives.
