The District Court issued prison sentences to 4 Jerusalemites from the village of Issawiya
On Monday, the Jerusalem District Court issued sentences against four Palestinians from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya.
Mohammad Mahmoud, a lawyer with the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem, explained that the court sentenced Mohammad Alayan to 18 months in prison, Zain al-Din Abu al-Hummos to 13 months, and Ali Alayan to 10 months, while Mohammad Nasim Alayan was ordered to perform community service and pay 2,500 shekels in compensation.
Lawyer Mahmoud stated that the four people sentenced were arrested in February and March and subjected to lengthy and harsh interrogations before being indicted on charges of "assaulting a settler."
