For the third consecutive week, escalating expulsion orders from Al-Aqsa Mosque
For the third consecutive week, Israeli occupation authorities have increased their actions against Palestinians in Jerusalem by issuing more expulsion orders from the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. People of all ages, both men and women, are being summoned to the Al-Qishla police station in the Old City, where they are handed expulsion orders of different durations.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem stated that most orders start with a one-week expulsion, requiring those expelled to return to the station immediately after it ends. This initial measure often serves as a preliminary step toward longer expulsions lasting several months, with many orders being "renewals" of six-month expulsions. These orders are given at the police station or sometimes communicated via WhatsApp.
Security pretexts used to justify the expulsions!
The center clarified that weekly expulsion orders are issued by the "Chief Inspector/Investigations Department at the Al-Qishla Police Station." In contrast, long-term orders are issued by Jerusalem District Commander Avshalom Peled, citing reasons such as "preventing incidents" and "maintaining security, safety, and property, and preventing any harm," as detailed in the order texts.
Mechanisms for summoning and delivering decisions
The center clarified that summonses are issued through various methods, such as storming residential homes, arresting individuals at workplaces or homes, and issuing direct telephone summonses.
Some deportation orders are also issued at checkpoints, especially in the Ras al-Amoud area of Silwan. Residents there receive calls from intelligence services directing them to report immediately to designated locations in Jerusalem. At these sites, they are given orders or summonses to be questioned inside police vehicles.
The center observed that deportation orders include aerial maps highlighting alleys, gates, and entrances that those deported are forbidden from entering. This illustrates the level of restrictions placed on residents' movement within the Old City and around Al-Aqsa Mosque.
More than 25 deportation orders in one day
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center tracked over 20 deportation orders issued today, Thursday, targeting Islamic Endowment employees and released prisoners. The list includes:
Judge Sheikh Iyad al-Abbasi: One week, renewable up to six months.
Khalil al-Tarhouni (employee of the Islamic Endowment Department): One week, renewable up to six months.
Ahmed Abu Aliya (employee of the Islamic Endowment Department): One week, renewable up to six months.
Mohammad Musa Mustafa: One week, renewable up to six months.

Mustafa Al-Hashlamon: One week, with the possibility of renewal up to six months.
Mahmoud Jaber: One week, with the possibility of renewal up to six months.
Mohammad Riyad: One week, with the possibility of renewal up to six months.
The center noted that a number of those summoned preferred not to have their names published.
Systematic escalation ahead of Ramadan
The center stated that this escalation is part of a deliberate policy to decrease the number of worshippers and diminish the Palestinian presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque through mass expulsions and ongoing summons, as Jerusalemites prepare for Ramadan.
Meanwhile, occupation forces detained released prisoner Ezz El-Din Atoun from Sur Baher village, placed him in solitary confinement, and extended his detention until tomorrow, Friday.
At dawn, the forces launched an arrest campaign in the town of Anata.
