Qasem Amjad Abu Al-Amal Shqairat, a 21-year-old from Jabal Al-Mukabber in Jerusalem, was martyred after Israeli forces raided his home and shot him. Three other young men from the village were detained.
His father, Amjad Abu Al-Amal Shqairat, reported that approximately 30 Israeli occupation forces, including masked officers and police dogs, raided the family home around 2:15 AM They did not allow the family to open the door, forced their way inside, and entered his son Qasem's room while he was sleeping, shooting him there.
He stated that the forces prevented his mother and sisters from approaching him. After the shooting, they took his body and arrested his uncle, Omar Abu Al-Amal Shqairat, at the scene.
The martyr's father was away working when the raid and his son's death occurred, he explained. The police stated in a brief release that the shooting happened during an "attempt to seize a weapon" in an arrest in the village, a claim the family rejected
