During a raid on Qalandia refugee camp, the child Walid Abu Sneineh was martyred, and two children were injured
On Sunday evening, 16-year-old Walid Nidal Abu Sneineh died from his wounds after Israeli occupation forces shot him during a raid on Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed Abu Sneineh's death, and two other children were injured by live gunfire in their legs during the raid.
Israeli forces raided Qalandia camp, spreading throughout its streets and alleyways, and took positions on the rooftops of multiple residential buildings. They then used live ammunition, tear gas, and stun grenades in an indiscriminate manner.
Video footage documented the moment the child, Abu Sneineh, was shot while on the roof of the Qalandiya Camp Club, where he was seen lying on the ground and covered in blood after being struck in the head by a bullet fired by a sniper from the Israeli Border Police unit during the forces' raid on the camp and their deployment in several areas within it. Reports also indicated that children came under sniper fire during the operation.
Abu Sneineh was transferred in critical condition to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. He was then buried in the Qalandia cemetery.
