The occupation closes a medical services’ building in the Old City of Jerusalem

The occupation municipality’s crews protected by Israeli police closed a medical services’ building on Friday early morning near Al-Ghawanmeh Gate-one of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates.

The Islamic Awqaf Department explained that the municipality closed the gate of the building (welding it with Oxygen) under the pretext of the presence of antiquities inside it. The Islamic Awqaf Department was supposed to open the medical services’ building (90 medical units, restrooms and ablution) on the first day of Ramadan to serve the people coming to Al-Aqsa Mosque during this Holy month.

The municipality issued a decided to stop renovation works at the building under the pretext of the presence of antiquities inside it after a recommendation had been made by the Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu. The Minister of Agriculture, Uri Ariel, also praised the decision and urged to implement it and prevent the renovation works.
