Prison sentences…extensions of arrest…releases

Lawyer Mohamamd Mahmoud explained that the District and Magistrate judges sentenced several Jerusalemites for actual imprisonment and extended the arrest of others.

Prison sentences

  • Yousef Hazeeneh: 6 months in prison, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 3600-NIS fine
  • Adam Mahmoud: 4 months in prison, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 2400-NIS fine
  • Anas Abu Asab: 100 days in prison, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 2400-NIS fine
  • Mohammad Atyeh: 100 days in prison, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 2400-NIS fine
  • Mohammad Suleiman: 100 days in prison, a suspended probation of 6 months for three years and a 2400-NIS fine
  • Odai Obeid: 7 months in prison, a suspended probation of 4 months for three years and a 3000-NIS fine
  • Nabil Sider: 5 months in prison, a suspended probation of 4 months for three years and a 3000-NIS fine
  • Zakaria Bakri: 5 months in prison, a suspended probation of 4 months for three years and a 3000-NIS fine
  • Haitham Khweis: a 200-hours course and a suspended probation of 10 months for two years
  • Tamer Abu Seif: 25 months in prison and a suspended probation of 12 months for two years
  • Fadi Mit’eb: 7 months in prison, a suspended probation of 4 months for 3 years and a 3000-NIS fine

Extensions of arrest

Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge extended the arrest of Mohammad Hindyeh, Fouad Al-Qaq and his brother Ziad, Omar Salhab, Mohammad Fawwaz Julani, Mohammad Hamdieh, Mahmoud Obeid, Mohammad Totah, Mouamar Darwish, Salman Natsheh, Mohammad Mimi, Mohannad Anatai, Ahmad Tartir, Bilal Anati, Fadi Eid, Ahmad Eid, Mouayad Jaber and Hammoudeh Bakri until 2/10/2016.

The judge also extended the arrest of Mus’ab Atrash until 9/10/2016 ( an indictment was submitted against him at the District Court); Mustafa Mustafa, Dalal Abulhawa and Maher Hindi until completing the legal procedures against them; Mohammad Khaled Mheisen, Khaled Sukhon, Nour Shalabi and Firas Mahmoud until 25/10/2016 for sentencing, Dia’ Kawasmi until 3/11/2016, Maher Hindi until 296/11/2016 for sentencing, Tawfiq Othman until 6/10/2016, Mohammad Abu Hummos until 6/12/2016, Ahmad Odeh until 6/11/2016, Munir Mheisen until 22/12/2016 (witnesses hearing session), Khader Abu Ghannam until 31/10/2016, Shadi Mheisen until 30/120/2016, Mohammad Assaileh and Mohammad Salaymeh until 31/10/2016 and Nidal Fasfoos until 1/12/2016.

The judges also extended the arrest of Mohammad Abu Aweis and Issa Firawi until 29/11/2016, Qusai Khalil, Ayoub Hindi and Rida Obeid until 10/10/2016, Salameh Obeid until 27/10/2016, Yousef Obeid and Mohammad Jamal Mahmoud until 8/11/2016, Mahmoud Abed and Saleh Sabbah until 5/10/2016.

Releases

The judge decided to release the children Baha’ Eid and Ahmad Mohammad Ali on condition of house-arrest for 10 days, a 1000-NIS bail and a third-party bail. He also released Nader Abdo with a 1000-NIS bail and house-arrest for 5 days; Mohammad Ja’bari was also released with a bail and house-arrest conditions.

The judge also decided to released Mohammad Haitham Mahmoud and Mo’men Mheisen with a 1000-NIS bail, house-arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail for each and Fayez Mheisen with a 500-NIS bail, house-arrest for 7 days and a third-party bail while Yazan Khatib was released unconditionally.
