Pictures: A shooting attack in Jerusalem and the Martyrdom of the executor
A young Palestinian man passed away on Sunday after being shot by the occupation forces following a shooting attack he carried out in the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem.
The occupation police said in a statement that a shooting incident took place on Sunday morning near the “Israeli police regional command” in East Jerusalem.
Witnesses explained that shots were fired from inside a vehicle towards the light rail station across from the police headquarters in Sheikh Jarrah. The vehicle continued driving and was chased by Special Forces personnel which opened fire towards the young man and let to his Martyrdom.
Witnesses added that one of the occupation forces was critically injured during the shooting.
Israeli police said that initial investigation revealed the critical injury of two women and one minor injury; they were transferred to Hadassah hospital for treatment.
The police added that the shooter is a 39-year old man from Silwan.
