Demolishing a commercial establishment in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem
The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished on Wednesday early morning a car wash owned by Maraqa family in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem.
Maraqa family explained that the car wash is owned by Abdullah Maraqa and his brother Abdel Ra’ouf and has been established for 4 and a half years. The demolition operation took place in the early morning when nobody was at the car wash. When the family found out about the demolition, they and headed towards their property but were prevented from approaching as the forces completely surrounded the area and the bulldozers demolished the establishment without prior notice.
The family explained that the bulldozers demolished three containers where each is 12 square meters and contain merchandise and automotive accessories. The family estimated their loss around 200 thousand NIS.
The family also added that 5 individuals live off the car wash.
