Pictures: Self-demolition to two commercial stores in Beit Hanina north of Jerusalem

Two Jerusalemite merchants self-demolished their stores in the neighborhood of Beit Hanina following an order issued by the occupation municipality under the pretext of building without a permit.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center was informed that the two stores are owned by Mohammad Najjar (Al-Jinan fruits and vegetables) and Nidal Gheith (Naser Co. for construction material).

The two merchants explained that the municipality handed their demolition orders for their two stores.

Mohammad Najjar explained that his store has been established since 2007 and 4 families live off it (nearly 20 individuals). It is 50 square meters and has a 700-square meters land around it.

Nidal Gheith explained that his store was established three years ago and 5 families live off it. It also 50 square meters and has a 500-square meters land around it.

Gheith and Najjar explained that the demolition order was sudden and they have never received any notices from the municipality prior to that.
