Silwan: Distributing demolition orders in neighborhood of Al-Bustan
The occupation municipality’s crews distributed last Friday demolition orders to several residential establishments in the neighborhood of Al-Bustan in Silwan under the pretext of building without a permit.
Fakhri Abu Diab, member of the Committee for protecting property and real estate in Silwan, explained that municipality employees along with Israeli forces raided the neighborhood of Al-Bustan and hung administrative and judicial demolition orders on 13 residential establishments in the neighborhood; the establishments are old and some were built 40 years ago. It is noteworthy that nearly 100-120 people live in the targeted establishments.
Abu Diab added that among the families that received demolition orders were the families of Awad, Abu Shafe’, Abu Diab, Odeh, Dweik, Hamdan and Qaraeen.
Witnesses explained that municipality crews took pictures of residential and commercial establishments as well as the streets and neighborhoods of Silwan before raided Al-Bustan and distributing the demolition orders.
