Raiding Madaa Center in Silwan…arrests…conditional releases
The occupation forces raided on Sunday Madaa Silwan Creative Center in the neighborhood of Batn Al-Hawa.
Majd Gheith, project manager in Madaa Center, explained that the forces suddenly raided the center and forced all the children that were participating in various activities to leave the center. They were stationed inside the center and prevented anyone from entering and also closed the center’s main gate.
Gheith said that verbal altercations broke out between the forces and the locals of the neighborhood; they withdrew from the center nearly an hour after surrounding it.
On the other hand, the occupation forces raided the house of Tayseer Abu Sbeih, Martyr Musbah’s son, in Silwan and left him a request for interrogation since he wasn’t home.
The forces arrested Yousef Abu Jom’a (15) and Fayez Burqan (17) from the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan; Jadallah Rajabi was also arrested.
Extensions of arrest
Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that the judge extended the arrest of Adam Fadi Mustafa 916), Yousef Issa Mustafa (17) and Anas Abu Asab (16) until 22/5/2017; Thaer Abu Sbeih, Mohammad Shalabi, Tarek Obeidat and Mohamamd Dakkaq until 24/5/2017; Mus’ab Abu Kaf, Mohammad Ajloni, Mohammad Bakri, Emad Abu Sneineh and Yassin Sbeih until 25/5/2017, Mohammad Dirbas until 15/6/2017 and Amir Abu Hadwan until 11/9/2017.
Releases
Lawyer Mahmoud added that the judge released Ahmad Kayed Mahmoud and Wasim Obeid with a 5-thousand NIS third-party bail.
He also released the director of Elia’ Institution, Ahmad Safadi, and Hussam Alayan with a 1500-NIS bail, house-arrest for 7 days and a ban on participating in any protests for 90 days. Kayed Rajabi was released with a 1000-NIS bail and a ban on participating in protest for 15 days while Shadi Halseh was released with a 1500-NIS bail and a ban on using Facebook for 150 days. Wafa’ Abu Jom’a was released on condition of house-arrest for 7 days, a ban on using Facebook and participating in protests for 60 days.
The judge also decided to released Mohammad Abu Sneineh and Ibrahim Abu Sneineh with a 1000-NIS bail for each.
In the same context, Mohammad Najib, Abdullah Najib, Muheeb Qutob and Ala’ Najib with a 500-NIS bail and house-arrest for 10 days for each while Mahmoud Assaileh and Abdullah Najib were released on condition of house-arrest for 5 days and a third-party bail of 5 thousand NIS.
