Video- Dozens of settlers break into Al-Aqsa Mosque…assaults and arrests
The occupation forces arrested three of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s guards after assaulting and severely beating them near Al-Silsileh Gate- one of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates.
Firas Dibs, head of public relations and media at the Islamic Awqaf department, said the forces assaulted the employees of the Islamic Awqaf and severely beat them, and arrested Khalil Tarhooni, Nidal Al-Wa’ri and Nour Abu Hadwan.
Arafat Najib, a guard, was also assaulted and was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Dibs added that 708 settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning break-in session (between 7:30- 11:00 a.m.). Some settlers practiced their religious rituals outside the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Dibs pointed out that these numbers of settler’ incursions are unprecedented.
Settlers organized marched in the Old City of Jerusalem towards the Wailing Wall (Al-Buraq Square) since the morning hours while the yearly “flags march” will be organized in the afternoon with the participation of thousands of extremist settlers. It will initiate from West Jerusalem towards the Wailing Wall and passing by the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem and its gates.
