123 detainees and 64 injured among those staying inside Al-Aqsa Mosque
The occupation authorities decided to prevent men under the age of 50 from entering the Old City of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Occupation forces were heavily deployed in the streets of Jerusalem and at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque; they also closed several streets using metal barricades.
On the other hand, the police released those that were arrested from inside Al-Aqsa Mosque. Lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud explained that 123 people were arrested and the police released 95 of them in the early morning hours while 28 detainees were released on Friday morning.
Lawyer Mahmoud also explained that the releasing conditions were as follows: Every detainee living inside the Old City of Jerusalem was isolated from Al-Aqsa Mosque for two weeks while those living outside the Old City of Jerusalem were deported from the Old City for two weeks. Also, those living outside of Jerusalem were deported from the city for two weeks.
Regarding the injuries that were recorded during a raid on Al-Qibali Mosque, the Red Crescent explained that they treated 64 people in front of Al-Maskobyeh police station in which 26 of them were transferred to the hospital.
