Arresting a woman after raiding her house in Silwan

Israeli occupation forces arrested a woman after raiding her house in the village of Silwan.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center / Silwan reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the house of Jawad Abu Sneineh in Batn Al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan and arrested his wife Sabreen and took her to the interrogation center.

Zuhair Al-Rajabi, head of Batn Al-Hawa committee, said that the forces arrested the woman without explaining the reasons, noting that she is sick and in need of rest.

The house of Abu Sneineh is located in a five-story residential building that was leaked by Jamal Sarhan, to Ateret Cohnim settlement association in August 2015.The property was taken over with the exception of a residential apartment after the tenant, Jawad Abu Sneineh, refused to leave after he had renewed his leased for one year before the seizure of the building. The case of the evacuation of Abu Sneineh in still in the Israeli courts, and he received an eviction notice few months ago; the decision was frozen until October.

Rajabi pointed out that Abu Sneineh was expelled from Jerusalem under the pretext of "illegal presence in Jerusalem” since he holds a West Bank ID.
