Youth fail a normalization conference in Jerusalem...Police arrest two youths
The Israeli police arrested two young men while they were near the American Colony hotel in Jerusalem.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center learned that the Israeli police arrested Amer Bilbeisi, 15, and Ihab Shalabi, 24, while they were near the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem, on suspicion of "obstructing a normalization conference."
The center learned that the Israeli occupation police besieged the American Colony Hotel and spread in its outer courtyard and at its entrance. They chased the youths and arrested two of them. This coincided with a set date for a normalization conference at the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem where a group of activists were able to enter the conference hall and stop it before proceeding with its agenda.
The activists chanted in the hall: "Why normalize while we’re under the fire of the soldiers, free Arab Jerusalem”. They also chanted against the Oslo agreement.
Israeli police deployed in the streets near the hotel, and stopped the youths and checked their identities.
