Continuous harassment against the governor of Jerusalem Adnan Gheith

The Israeli occupation forces arrested on Sunday morning the governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Gheith, after storming his house in the village of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center-Silwan explained that the Israeli intelligence along with occupation forces stormed the house of the governor of Jerusalem Adnan Gheith in the Central Neighborhood of the village, and arrested him and transferred him to the police station.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the occupation forces have been harassing Gheith since he was appointed as governor of the city.

20/10/2018 Ghaith was arrested in an ambush after intercepting his vehicle in the village of Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem.

22/10/2018A decision to release Gheith on condition of deportation from his home in Silwan for 7 days, to the neighborhood of Wadi Al-Joz in the city, during which the occupation forces stormed his residence several times under the pretext of "making sure he is home”.

1/11/2018 Gheith was arrested from the headquarters of Silwan Club in the village, while participating in a dialogue session called for by Jerusalemite Institutions.

8/11/2018 Gheith was summoned to Al-Maskobyeh police station and handed over a decision preventing him from entering the West Bank for six months following an order by the "Central Region Commander".

11/11/2018 Gheith was summoned to Al-Maskobyeh police station, and informed that there is a decision to prevent him from communicating with specific Palestinians.

19/11/2018 "The commander of the internal region and the military commander" issued a decision to prevent him from communicating with 7 Palestinian figures for 6 months (direct or indirect contact).

In addition, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the headquarters of the Jerusalem governorate in Dahiyat Al-Bareed north of Jerusalem, searched it and destroyed its contents and confiscated many documents and papers.
