Silwan- Assaults, arrests and injuries in Batn Al-Hawa
On Sunday evening, the Israeli occupation forces arrested two Palestinian youths and wounded others during a raid on Batn Al-Hawa neighborhood in the village of Silwan in Jerusalem.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center / Silwan reported that the occupation forces raided Batn Al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan and stormed several houses and arrested Hamzeh Zuhair Rajabi and Mohammad Fayez Rajabi and transferred them to Salah Al-Din Street police station.
During the incursion, the occupation forces randomly fired rubber bullets and sound grenades in the neighborhood and into its alleys and houses, wounding Yousef Al-Sha'er and Islam Rajabi with shrapnel.
The center pointed out that the settlers living in Batn Al-Hawa, with the protection and support of their guards, deliberately provoked the residents of the neighborhood and assaulted the boys with beatings and verbal abuse since the afternoon. The surveillance cameras in the neighborhood documented a female settlerslapping the youth Hamzeh Zuheir Rajabi while he was sat in the area. The guards protected her and took her away.
The center explained that the forces stormed the neighborhood and arrested Hamzeh, despite being assaulted by the settler.
The Israeli occupation forces detained Mu'taz inside a settlement outpost in Batn Al-Hawa, assaulted and beat him, and then released him.
