Arrests, raids, and self-demolitions in the villages of Silwan and Esawyeh
The Israeli occupation forces arrested two young Palestinians from Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Silwan on Monday night.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the Israeli occupation forces arrested Samer Jamjoom 16, and Abdullah Zaghal 15, while they were walking in Ras Al-Amoud and turned them over to Salah Al-Din Street police station.
On the other hand, the occupation forces stormed Bi'er Ayyub neighborhood in Silwan, stationed in its streets, and randomly fired sound grenades.
The Israeli occupation forces along with municipal staff stormed Wadi Hilweh Information Center and the house of the director of the information center, Jawad Siam, and the house of Khaled Al-Zeer. They took the measurements of the building and took pictures under the pretext of property tax “Arnona”.
Esawyeh
The Israeli occupation intelligence stormed Esawyeh Secondary school, while Haitham Mohammad Mustafa was forced to self-demolish his commercial facility.
Mohammed Abu Hummos, a member of the follow-up committee in the village of Esawyeh, said that the occupation forces stormed the perimeter of the school while students were on break.They fired sound grenades towards the school’s gate, under the pretext of throwing empty cans at police vehicles, which was denied by the students.
Abu Hummos added that the school administration and the faculty were surprised by the intelligence personnel that stormed the school in their civil uniforms and their presence among the students.
Abu Hummos condemned the unjustified intrusion of the occupation intelligence officers in "civilian clothes" which created a state of tension inside the school. They did not reveal their identity, and threated students with arrest.
Self-demolition
Haitham Mohammed Mustafa self-demolished his own commercial facility "Car Repair garage" located in the eastern area of the village of Esawyeh, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Abu Hummos said that the Nature and Parks authority along with the occupation municipality issued a decision to demolish the facility.The police came and forced him to implement the demolition, or municipal bulldozers will carry out the demolition on his expense (NIS 80 thousand) for municipal staff and accompanying forces.
Abu Hummos explained that the garage was built about a month ago, where the ground is built of cement and has poles with a cloth cover all around.
