Pictures and details- Occupation authorities demolish a building in Wadi Al-Joz in Jerusalem
On Wednesday, the occupation municipal staff demolished a building belonging to Khaled Malhi in the neighborhood of Wadi al-Joz in Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the bulldozers of the occupation municipality demolished a building containing 3 apartments and 3 shops, in addition to two containers, owned by Khaled Malhi.
Occupation forces along with a large number of police and members of Special Forces and municipal staff and bulldozers stormed the "industrial zone" in Wadi Al-Joz inthe city of Jerusalem, and surrounded the building of Khaled Malhi, and then dismantled some of the contents and began the demolition.
Khaled Malhi explained to the information center that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the building two days ago and handed him a decision that the entire facility should be demolished within 48 hours. Upon receiving the notice, he headed to his lawyer to try to postpone the decision, but was surprised by the forces raiding the building and starting the demolition.
Malhi explained that the first floor, which has been in existence for 20 years, is a commercial establishment "laundry and garage, as well as stores. The second floor consists of 3 apartments that have been in existence for about 5 years. One apartment was rented while the second apartment was ready for his son to live in, and a third that was still under construction.
He added that the occupation municipality imposed a fine on the old building worth NIS 160 thousand.
