Storming Al-Arba’een Mosque in the village of Esawyeh…arrests
Clashes broke out on Monday in the village of Esawyeh, after the storming of Al-Arba’een Mosque in the middle of the village and tampering with its contents and ascending the roof.
Mohammed Abu Hummos, a member of the follow-up committee in Esawyeh, said that the occupation forces stormed Al-Arba’een Mosque inside the village, in a provocative move to the worshipers inside and to the young men who were outside, and then ascended the roof and took down the Palestinian flag and a picture of a prisoner from the village.
He added that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately smashed some of the windows of the mosque with rifle butts and batons.
Clashes broke out in the vicinity of the mosque and the streets of the village, and the forces arrestedthe secretary of Fatah movement in Esawyeh Yaser Darwish and Anwar Obeid.
