Storming the mourning tent of Martyr Obeid…arresting 8 young men…violent clashes in Jerusalem

The occupation forces stormed the mourning tent of Martyr Mohammad Samir Obeid in the village of Issawiya, and arrested 8 Jerusalemites from Silwan and Issawiya.

Issawiya

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the mourning tent of Martyr Mohammad Obeid in Issawiya, and confiscated his pictures.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces fired sound grenades and rubber bullets in the vicinity of the tent and in the alleys of Obeid neighborhood, while the youths responded by throwing firecrackers.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the forces arrested Alaa’Al-Din Sufian and Mohammad Khaled Khalil from the village of Issawiya.

In the afternoon hours, they also arrested Ahmed Derbas, Ahmad Mahmoud, As'ad Dari and Abed Saymeh from Issawiya.

Silwan

Wadi Hilweh Information Center reported that the Israeli occupation forces suddenly stormed the neighborhood and arrested 5 youths.

The center's lawyer, Razan Jubeh, explained that the soldiers arrested Abdullah Siam, Obada Siam, Salah Al-Din Siam, Mohammad Awni Siam and boy Mo’men Salaymeh. They were transferred for investigation at Salah Al-Din Street police station.

The center added that scattered clashes broke out in the neighborhoods of Bi'er Ayoub and Ras Al-Amoud in Silwan.

Al-Maqased hospital

The Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Maqased Hospital and searched its sections and rooms, under the pretext of an injured person who they claim to have been injured during clashes in Jerusalem. A force was stationed at the entrance of the hospital and its gates.

Violent clashes

Violent clashes broke out in Shu’fat refugee camp, the neighborhood of Shu'fat, the village of Al-Tur and the Old City of Jerusalem in response for the continued detention of the body of the martyr Mohammad Obeid.

The youths threw stones at the light rail in the neighborhood of Shu’fat.
