For the third consecutive Friday…Storming Al-Aqsa and evacuating its courtyards…arrests and expulsions from the mosque…scattered clashes
For the third consecutive Friday, the occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, at dawn, forcibly evacuated its courtyards, and carried out arrests from the gates of the mosque and the city of Jerusalem, while scattered clashes broke out in the city.
Al-Aqsa Mosque
The occupation forces surrounded the worshippers meters away from of Bab Al-Rahmachapel, while they were heading to Al-Qibali Mosque chanting “God is Great”. The special forces and officers intercepted them, and one of them demanded that they return and leave the Mosque, and prevented them from advancing and walking towards the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock or towards Al-Qibali Mosque.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that a group of worshipers were in the courtyards of the Dome of the Rock and were protesting against surroundingand blocking worshippers from walking freely. The occupation forces stormed the place and heavily fired rubber bullets towards the worshipers and forced them out of the mosque through Hutta Gate.
Al-Amal ambulance crews reported that 10 worshipers were wounded with rubber bullets, one was in the head and the rest were in the limbs.
At Hutta Gate, the occupation forces assaulted the worshipers with beating and pushing, and arrested 3 young men.
The forces threatened those expelled from Al-Aqsa to arrest and issue fines for them, in the event of performing the prayer in the place, which forced them to move to another point to pray on the doorsteps of the mosque.
Scattered clashes
Clashes broke out on Friday evening in the village of Shu’fat, and the Musta’ribeen unit (undercover police) arrested at least two young men and beat them - as witnesses explained - and clashes also broke out in Shu’fat refugee camp.
In the village of Issawiya, the occupation forces assaulted and arrested two boys while they were in the center of the village.
Arrests and expulsions from Al-Aqsa
The occupation forces continued the execute arrests from the city of Jerusalem, whether at the gates of Al-Aqsa or the roads of the Old City, or after storming houses. Wadi Hilweh Information Center monitored the arrests as follows:
1. Mohammad Abu Shousha was arrested from Bab Hutta area, and he was released on condition of deportation from the Old City of Jerusalem for two weeks.
2. Mahmoud Al-Triaki was arrested from Bab Hutta area, and he was released on the conditionof deportation from the Old City of Jerusalem for two weeks.
3. Ahmad Al-Kiswani was arrested from Bab Hutta area while he is still detained
4. Yehya Jbareen, “Released”
5. Khaled Amer Alayan, was arrested from his home in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, extended his arrest for investigation.
6. Nour Ghaith, 17, as arrested from his home in the neighborhood of Al-Thori in Silwan, extended his arrest for investigation
7. Yusuf Abdeen, 18, was arrested from his home in Silwan, extended his detention for interrogation.
8. Ahmed Abu Ghazaleh was arrested from the vicinity of Lions Gate, was later "released"
9. Ibrahim Al-Natsheh was arrested from the vicinity of Lions Gate, was later "released"
10. Shadi Mattour, Secretary of Fatah Movement in Jerusalem, was summoned for immediate investigation by a phone call from the Intelligence while he was with his children in Al-Aqsa, and threatened to arrest him from the courtyards in the event of not leaving Al-Aqsa. He was taken to Al-Silsileh Gate police station and was handed a decision to expel him from the mosque for a week.
2. Munir Al-Basti, was arrested from his home in Jerusalem, was then "released."
3. Qasim Derbas, 17, was arrested in the evening from Issawiya.
4. Mohammad Mustafa, 17, was arrested in the evening from Issawiya.
5. Abed al-Rahim Issa, was arrested in the evening from Shu’fat.
6. Mohammad Jamal Shihadeh was arrested in the evening from Shu’fat.
7. Mohammad Dakkaq was summoned for investigation.
8. Qutaiba Abu Shakra from the Palestinian 1948 lands was summoned for investigation, and was expelled from Al-Aqsa for a period of 6 months.
9. Hasan Abu Shakra, from the Palestinian 1948 lands was summoned for investigation and was expelled from Al-Aqsa for a period of 6 months.
