Religious commissions warn - a comprehensive survey of Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards
On Wednesday morning, Israeli surveyors' teams conducted a 3D scan and imaging of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The crews stormed Al-Aqsa, accompanied by members of the occupation forces, through Dung Gate, whose keys havebeen controlled since the occupation of Jerusalem, and began surveying and photographing all of its yards through several teams distributed in several points in Al-Aqsa.
In a statement, the Endowments Council stated that the Israeli police allowed an unidentified group that claimed to be a working team belonging to a company of a foreign country, with the aim of conducting a three-dimensional survey and imaging of the grounds of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and they were in possession of a set of advanced scanning and imaging tools.
The Council warned of the occupation’s hidden intentions against Al-Aqsa Mosque, which were picked up by extremist groups to put a title to this violation, declaring with all brazenness and arrogance that this “engineering project” is nothing but the first construction work for the structure of the alleged temple.
The Supreme Islamic Commission said in a statement: “What took place of a comprehensive survey of Al-Aqsa courtyards is a violation of its sanctity and imposing sovereignty over it, and is a prelude to the implementation of terrible plans aimed at controlling parts of its courtyards.”
The Islamic Commission held the occupation authorities responsible for any damage to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Islamic Commission said that Al-Aqsa Mosque is all that is inside the wall (Al-Imami mosque, the Dome of the Rock, Al-Marwani prayer hall, Bab Al-Rahma prayer hall, the Al-Buraq prayer hall, the Al-Buraq Wall, the corridors and the terraces, the walls, the external gates and all the facilities).
