On Sunday evening, the occupation municipality forced Oqab Ja’abees to self-demolish his house in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber.
Ja’abees explained that the municipality issued a decision 10 days ago to demolish his house, without the possibility of licensing it, under the pretext that "the land is green and construction is prohibited."
Ja’abees added that 8 people live in the house, including 5 children, pointing out that the house is a "residential container and a room made of pallet/reinforced iron."
In the town of Beit Hanina, north of Jerusalem, the municipality forced the Al-Dallal family to self-demolish 3 houses.
Yehya Al-Dallal explained that the houses had been in existence for years, and building violations and fines were imposed on him, until the municipality issued the final demolition decision, forcing him to demolish them.
