Ramallah: During the month of October 2021, the Israeli occupation authorities arrested 467 Palestinians from the occupied Palestinian territories, including (135) children and 10 women.
This came within a joint monthly report issued on Wednesday, by the Prisoners’ and Human Rights Institutions; (The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner Club, the Al-Dameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights and Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem), in which the report confirmed that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in the occupation prisons reached about (4,650) prisoners, until the end of October, including (34) female prisoners, (160) minors, and about (500) administrative detainees.
The report monitors all policies, procedures and changes implemented and brought about by the occupation authorities with regard to Palestinian prisoners and detainees, in addition to the reality and conditions of prisoners and detainees inside the occupation prisons. It also deals with the occupation authorities' attack on Palestinian civil society institutions, including institutions that monitor prisoners' affairs and labeling them as terrorists. This is during the period covered by the report, based on the outcome of the monitoring, documentation and legal and field follow-up work carried out by the four institutions.
