Silwan- the Burqan family self-demolishes its building by order of the occupation municipality
Late on Tuesday evening, the Burqan family self-demolished its building in the Ras al-Amoud neighborhood in Silwan, by a decision of the occupation municipality.
The Burqan family was forced to demolish the 300-square-meter, two-storey building, in order to avoid paying the demolition fee to "the occupation municipality and the forces accompanying it."
The Burqan family explained that the family started the construction process a year ago, and was surprised a month ago by the demolition decision, and tried to freeze it for licensing, but the municipality refused to do so.
