Assault…arrests…injuries in the area of Damascus Gate in Jerusalem

On Sunday evening, the occupation forces suppressed young men in the Damascus Gatearea in Jerusalem, with sound grenades, beatings, and arrests.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem learned that members of the undercover unit (Musta’ribeen) arrested a young man, severely beat him, and pointed weapons at those present to prevent them from approaching during the arrest of the young man.

Eyewitnesses added that the forces deployed in Jerusalemarrested more than 5 Jerusalemites, among whom were identified: 16-year-old Qasem Mtour, and the young man Hussein Najdi.

The Red Crescent said that its crews dealt with 11 injuries in the Damascus Gatearea, 3 of them were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The forces beat an elderly Jerusalemite man on the head and face with batons and hands, which led to various injuries.

The elderly man was standing by the observation room at the entrance to Damascus Gate, trying to check on his detained son.

The forces also attacked young men this evening in the Bab Hutta area, in the Old City of Jerusalem.

On the other hand, the occupation intelligence handed the deputy director of the Jerusalem Endowments, Sheikh Najeh Bkeirat, a decision banning him from entering Al-Aqsa for a period of 6 months.

For the third time in a row, the occupation authorities renewed the "administrative detention" of the prisoner Majed Al-Jubeh for a period of 3 months.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated in its monthly report, "March 2022", that the occupation authorities transferred 4 Jerusalemites to administrative detention during March.

The forces arrested at dawn and on Sunday morning: Jadallah al-Rajabi, his brother Munther al-Rajabi, photographer Muhammad Dweik, Radi al-Dawoo, and Mohammad al-Risheq.
