12 detainees from Damascus Gate area in Jerusalem
On Sunday evening, the occupation forces arrested 12 Palestinians, and wounded 19, during confrontations in Damascus Gatearea in Jerusalem.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated that the occupation forces carried out arrests from the Damascus Gatearea, Nablus Street, and Sultan Suleiman Street, and severely beat the detainees during arrest and during detention inside the observation rooms located at the entrances to Damascus Gate.
One of the detainees sustained a head injury, however, he was detained inside the observation room and referred to the detention center for interrogation, and he was not provided with first aid and the necessary treatment.
The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem clarified that the detainees are: Qasem Mtour, Hussein Najdi, Oday Maswadeh, Yazan Abahra, Basil Abahra, Ahmed Abu Rmeileh, Hassan Ayyad, Ahmed Khalfawi, Tayseer Al-Rajabi, Yasser Najdi, Ali Dabash, Mohammad Abu Siryeh.
The Red Crescent- Jerusalem said that its crews dealt with 19 injuries during the confrontations, 4 of which were taken to the hospital, and the injuries were due to "physical assault and rubber bullets."
