The municipality demolishes a house under construction in Silwan
On Wednesday, municipal machinery demolished a house under construction in Ein Al-Lozeh neighborhood, in the town of Silwan, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The house belongs to Mohammad al-A’war, who explained that the forces, accompanied by the municipal vehicles, stormed the place on Wednesday, despite the filing of an "administrative petition to the District Court to freeze the demolition process."
Al-A’war explained that the municipality carried out the demolition, refusing to authorize or freeze the decision.
He said, "40 years of hard work to build this house, which in a matter of minutes turned into rubble."
He pointed out that he intended to move there with his family of 10 individuals.
